VESPA ELECTRONIC ALARM
01 March 2006 - Vespa
Vespa’s classically styled range of GT scooters have been a huge hit with UK riders.
The 200cc GT was the top seller in its class (126-350cc scooters) in 2004 and last year its big brother, the 250cc GTS, was Number One in this class. Owners will undoubtedly be keen to protect these attractive scooters so Vespa have introduced a simple-to-fit, after-market alarm specifically for the GT and GTS models. The Electronic Alarm is operated via a key fob like a conventional car alarm and, once armed, it will emit an ear-piercing siren for 30 seconds if triggered. It is designed to protect the vehicle from blows (e.g. someone trying to remove parts), any attempt to start the vehicle (with a duplicate key or ‘hot wire’) and trying to disable the alarm by cutting the power supply. Its push-button operation makes it easy to protect your scooter, even if left unattended for a matter of minutes. As it is designed specifically for Vespa scooters, the Electronic Alarm can be plugged directly into the vehicle’s wiring loom without the need for cutting wires or soldering. This ‘plug and play’ compatibility also guarantees a safe and reliable fit every time. An electronic key and PIN over-ride are built into the system so that, in the event of losing or damaging the key fob, the alarm can be de-activated by the owner. The Vespa Electronic Alarm sells for £88.13 inc. VAT.
