KELVIN Tatum is ready to quit racing after suffering more discomfort with his badly damaged hip which requires surgery.
Tatum pulled out of Arena Essex''s meeting at Eastbourne and fans were told he is likely to retire from speedway to concentrate on regaining his World Long Track title. Arena boss Ronnie Russell said: ''Long Track is a totally different discipline. Speedway places more demands on the hip joint.'' ANDREW Moore seems certain to miss the rest of the season after suffering a suspected broken leg at Eastbourne on Saturday. Moore was racing in the Elite League meeting with Arena Essex when he collided with Adrian Miedzinski. Eastbourne promoter Jon Cook said: ''We all feel so sorry for Andrew because he''s been riding so well for us. It''s a terrible blow for the boy, Sheffield and ourselves.''
