SPEEDWAY 1

ELITE League Champions Coventry have secured a major sponsorship deal with Greene King IPA to become the official beer of the team.

The six-figure, three year deal also means the company have gained the pouring rights to events at the Brandon Stadium.

Co-promoter Jeremy Heaver said: ''This announcement is a huge vote of confidence in the team from a company that is known for its tradition and its innovation.''

SPEEDWAY 2

JASON Crump will launch his new book ''A World Of My Own'' with a signing session at Belle Vue Stadium on Saturday March 4.

Crump, who has co-authored the 272-page volume with journalist Martin Rogers, will be present from 11am until 2pm.

The book contains Crump''s life story in his own words as well as expert opinion from other leading riders and a 16-page full colour section.

SPEEDWAY 3

RYE House promoter Len Silver is backing new reserve Luke Bowen to make a big breakthrough in the Premier League this year.

Bowen has been promoted into the Rockets'' line-up from the club''s Conference League Raiders set-up.

Silver said: ''Luke is expected to become a force to be reckoned with and I''m confident that he will score heavily for us.''

SPEEDWAY 4

SIMON Lambert had double cause for celebration on his 17th birthday as he was awarded the captaincy of Conference League Boston.

Lambert will lead the Barracuda-Braves in 2006 and also line up at reserve for King''s Lynn in the Premier League.

Boston team boss Malcolm Vasey said: ''He is the perfect choice, and at his tender age it can also be considered as part of his overall training in speedway.''
