SPEEDWAY 1

BERWICK have made their second winter signing by capturing the services of Swede Andreas Bergstrom.

Bergstrom will be making his debut in UK League racing after a successful tour with his country two years ago.

Bandits promoter Peter Waite said: ''Andreas is a superb rider and will be a massive hit with our fans. We are foreseeing a number one position for this man.''

SPEEDWAY 2

MILDENHALL have announced a major sponsorship deal with Essex-based ASL Freight - who are owned by Fen Tigers'' promoter Mick Horton''s brother Colin.

The two had previously worked together as promoter and sponsor at Peterborough before Colin took over the running of the Panthers last year.

Mick Horton said: ''After several discussions, ASL were very keen to join us and make a big presence in the Premier League.''
