BELLE Vue promoter Ian Thomas has firmly refuted speculation that skipper Jason Crump will miss meetings this season due to Polish fixture clashes.

Thomas said: ''It is completely incorrect to say Jason will miss six matches - he won''t be missing any Belle Vue fixtures whatsoever.

''We have agreed all our fixtures with him and there are no problems. It is not good for stories like this to get around.''

PREMIER League newcomers Redcar have snapped up rising American star Chris Kerr to take a heat-leader berth with the Bears.

Kerr made a big impact in the UK last season with his performances for the touring US Dream Team.

Bears promoter Gareth Rogers said: ''We have agreed a three-year deal and are delighted to have signed a rider who was in such high demand.''
