INSURANCE GETS RACY Its services became more prominent in the eyes of two-wheeled fans following the company’s sponsorship of Honda Racing in last year’s British Superbike Championship. The partnership with Karl Harris and Honda-Racing.co.uk was so successful that BLD is increasing its presence in the world’s leading domestic Superbike series for 2006. The company is continuing its support for Honda Racing, but this year the distinctive branding will be seen on the HM Plant-backed motorcycles and team items. The ability to continue attracting a higher level of investment is important for the future success of the championship. ITV’s live coverage of the series proved to be an extra pull for the already strong package on offer to BLD. The team sponsorship provides an affinity with speed, skill and success – attributes that BLD has within its own industry. The company is committed to providing a comprehensive accident claims management service, which will help to reduce the cost of insurance for two-wheeled fans. A major aim for its sponsorship of the British Superbike series is to inform motorcyclists about post-accident processes. BLD’s Managing Director, Brad Parry, believes that the partnership is a perfect fit for the company, due to their already strong association with motorcycles. It also enables motorcyclists to better understand the work that is undertaken behind the scenes in accident claims. Through its sponsorship programme, BLD is promoting its open approach to claims, which helps the post-accident processes run more smoothly for all involved parties. “This enables BLD to create a win-win situation for everybody involved in motorcycle accident claims,” said Brad Parry. “Our systems reduce time and costs for the insurance industry, while providing an efficient service for the motorcyclist.
