But, all good things go away. I was looking forward to this weekend and trying to get a win. Trying to win four in a row didn’t really bother me to much. I really just wanted to get a win and get up on the podium with these guys. I feel like I rode a strong race, it just wasn’t as strong as these two. When I make mistakes, I’m taking too long to recover. Ricky and James are hitting their marks all the time and recovering real quickly and that’s something that I need to work on. Ricky and James are riding real well. They have definitely stepped it up a notch. It’s just my turn to step it up as well. I’m really looking forward to the remainder of the racing season. I just want to get out there and make it a three way race and make it fun. I like the east coast tracks; I enjoy riding the dirt and the layouts a little better. No excuses. That’s just what I prefer. This is my third best start of the year. I just want to get out there. That’s the main thing right now. It’s frustrating to know that I have what it takes to win. I’m just not getting it done right now. So, I just got to step it up.
I have no regrets, I rode my butt off. I rode as hard as I could and the track was a little slick tonight. I rode in control. I probably could have ridden a little harder. I feel I rode some consistent laps. I put in a good fight. It was a great race. James was behind me the whole time. I’m sure he was back there checking it out and seeing what was going on or hoping for a mistake. I just rode my race, James put a good clean pass on me and the rest is history. I’m happy with the way I rode. James got the best of me tonight. I did all that I could do and if I could do the race over I would do the exact same thing. It was a really fun race for us, I know the crowd liked it and that’s what it’s all about. I think it was a solid ride and I’m happy to be up here on the box. I gotta give it to James; he really rode a clean race. James Stewart: I didn’t really want to go for the whole shot. Last week, I went for it and I about slid across the white line. I just got in and settled behind Ricky. I had a good pace going and I kept a good eye on Chad to see if he was closing up. We had a good pace going and there were a few times I screwed up. One lap I didn’t jump over the whoop; I rolled over it instead and then one lap Kyle Lewis almost took me out. I saw where Ricky was fast, he was faster right after the section I passed him. I was better coming down the start and around the corner and was able to make the pass with only two laps left and ended up getting it. I was actually going to try and pass Ricky right after the start. I felt that I had a better line towards the inside and was going to try and square him up. So, I just tried to pick a good place where it would be a clean pass, I didn’t want to get in contact. I wanted a clean race. It’s been fun for me. It’s definitely been a new challenge in my life. I just turned twenty. So, I’m still learning a lot. I’m looking forward to the east coast races. I just wanted to make a pass, where I felt it would stick. If I made the pass to early, there was a good chance he would just get around me. He had good sections and I had good sections.
