2006 WORLD INDOOR TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIP
17 February 2006 - Sherco

Albert Cabestany maintains second place in the provisional classification

After a really stressful weekend for the riders who are contesting the Indoor Trials Championship of the World, in which they had to travel from Ireland to Russia in less than 48 hours to ride two rounds of the championship.

The Sherco rider Albert Cabestany has been able to maintain his second place in the provisional championship. Albert did not qualify for the final in Belfast in a trial marked by an event with very little selectivity in the sections.

Two days later the Sherco rider advanced to the final in St Petersburg. The three riders competing were: Raga, Fajardo and Albert, who finished in that order. This third place finish allowed Albert to maintain his second place position in the provisional classification with four rounds left in the Championship.

Albert Cabestany: ''In St Petersburg I was able to overcome the evil that occurred to me in Belfast. I was able to regain my form in two days and achieve the podium, and this is very satisfying. What is important is to try to be consistent, which is critical if you want to be victorious.''
