PEUGEOT SPEEDFIGHT IRON-X CELEBRATION EDITION
15 February 2006 - Peugeot

“We must beat the iron while it is hot, but we may polish it at leisure.”

So wrote the 17th Century English dramatist and Poet John Dryden and his words seem to fit the celebration edition Iron-X Speedfight scooter from Peugeot particularly well, because this a machine that will give as much pleasure from being ridden hard as it will from being polished up afterwards.

Since its launch ten years ago, the Peugeot Speedfight has remained at the top of the sales charts and was one of the UK’s top three most popular 50cc scooters last year*. The French factory created the special edition Iron-X to celebrate production of the Speedfight exceeding 400,000 units, of which approximately 10% were sold in the UK.

The Iron-X benefits from all of the features that have helped to create an almost iconic status for the Speedtfight; the single sided front swing arm (instead of conventional forks), asymmetrical twin front headlights and punchy 2-stroke motor. In addition owners will enjoy a powerful and progressive 180mm ‘wavy’ disc brake at the front, aluminium footboards, rear spoiler and double saddle with red stitching, complemented by carbon-look mirrors and dashboard. However, the one feature that is most likely to attract attention is the pulsar blue and white bodywork, with matching eye-catching white wheels.

The Peugeot Speedfight Iron-X sells for £1,699- on the road. A 2-year warranty is included for peace of mind. Peugeot scooters back this up with a very competitive insurance scheme through their long-term insurance partner MCE, Tel. 0870 01-01-125.
