I think I rode pretty well. I didn’t get the greatest jump at the start but I made some moves in the first two corners and then got into second.” “The track was real slick and I just tried to put twenty consistent laps together.” “Ricky was riding good tonight; he had some good lines. He showed me a few things that helped me out and I definitely rode better in my main event than I did in my heat. I think that’s because I latched onto him and found some good lines.” “I’m not quite used to running up front yet. I’ve been doing that the last couple of races and I’m starting to feel more and more comfortable. Tonight, I got tight around lap five or six and then I mellowed out from there and started riding better once Chad got by me.” “Those three guys are just really fast. They’re pulling tens here and there on me. I don’t think it’s nothing really huge. I’ve been struggling in the whoops a little but I’ve been struggling a little everywhere.” “I like riding up front with these guys and trying to ride with them. Chad was riding good tonight and put a good block pass on me. I tried to stay with him but he just had a little more than me in a few sections and got away.” Chad Reed “It was crazy, I got a really good jump off the start and I was riding pretty good. I had James on the inside and Jeremy on the outside and James just lost the front and came right over to me. Then I just finished Jeremy off to miss James. There was a lot going on in the first lap.” “It was tough to pass. I knew I had to be aggressive and get close enough to throw it in there” “I gotta win, that’s about it. Getting seconds, thirds and fifth isn’t really cutting it. So, I know I just gotta get it done. I have a great package, fitness wise. I feel good on the bike and my bikes good. It’s just up to me to put it together on the weekend and that’s all I’m lacking. “ “No, we aren’t worried about James. I gotta ride my race. I knew he went down in the first turn and I knew he was going to push back.” “When he went down in the first turn, I knew it was going to be a long race for him. Just because it was a track that you couldn’t try and make something happen. There wasn’t a whole lot of passing or separation between the slower guys and us.” “I was just looking forward to getting onto Ivan and seeing where Ricky was.” “At this point in the game there is nothing to lose for me. I just gotta go for it. Like I said earlier, I feel I have a good package, a great bike and a great training program. I feel I can win; I’m just not getting it done. At this point I just want to go out there and have fun and just ride with nothing to lose.” Ricky Carmichael “It’s great to see a rookie like (Ivan) come up and get what he has been working for. I know he’s been wanting to get a podium. So, I was happy for him. I just like to see people who achieve their goal.” “At first I thought it was Chad and then realized it was Ivan. So, I was pumped. I knew Chad would probably get him but he hung in there a long time. I was like a fan watching these two go for it.” “I was just riding protective and trying to put in some good laps.” “It’s just a test. It’s a test between Chad, James and myself. Fortunately, I’ve been the only guy to be up here. I don’t think every race that I have won hasn’t been on just raw speed. It’s been a little bit of luck, a little bit of patience and a little bit of being strong. I think this is probably the first year that I really haven’t looked too far ahead of me.” “I’ve just been enjoying every weekend. I’ve had some great battles, but we’ve been spoiled the last three weeks. We had a good race with Chad in Phoenix where it was really close, the second Anaheim, and last weekend between James and myself in the mud. I feel like I have passed the test tonight.” .
