SPEEDWAY 1

ORGANISERS of Sunday''s Telford Indoor Ice International have been boosted by a further three-year extension to their license.
The first meeting at the Shropshire venue was back in February 1986, and the event''s future is now secure until at least 2009.
Co-promoter Ian Thomas said: ''We are proud of our continuity at Telford, and the event is recognised by the fans and riders as an out-of-season tradition.''

SPEEDWAY 2

SHAUN Tacey has agreed a deal with Elite League Ipswich to take the No.8 position for the Foxhall club this season.
Tacey, whose first top-flight experience was with the Witches in 1993, will be racing for Premier League Mildenhall in his Testimonial year.
Promoter John Louis said: ''Shaun is as keen as mustard and his ability and average fits our situation perfectly.''
