SPEEDWAY 1 NEW Isle of Wight signing Chris Holder retained his Australian Under-21 title in a dramatic finish at Gillman on Saturday. Holder took advantage of a second chance in the Final after Cameron Woodward had fallen whilst Jason Doyle was leading. In the re-run, Holder got the better of King''s Lynn''s Troy Batchelor with Doyle - also an Islander this year - having to settle for third. SPEEDWAY 2 MARK Thompson is returning to spearhead Mildenhall''s Conference League team for his sixth season at West Row. Thompson comes in as a top-graded rider and completes an Academy team which will be captained by Danny Norton. Team boss Blayne Scroggins said: ''I''m very happy with the team. The seven riders I have are those that I penned as my ideal choices in November, so naturally I''m delighted.''
