BIKERS’ JOY AS TRACKER PRICES SLASHED
31 January 2006 - Tracker Network (UK) Ltd

The war against motorbike theft has stepped up another gear – with TRACKER’s decision to reduce the prices of its stolen vehicle recovery systems developed specifically for motorbikes.

The decision, which takes effect from February 1, ensures a massive £140 saving for its entry-level Retrieve system, now available for £259 including installation and the first years’ subscription.

Meantime, TRACKER has slashed £100 off its Monitor system, providing owners with peace of mind for £399 – including installation and the first years’ subscription.

TRACKER Retrieve is activated when a motorbike is reported stolen whereas Monitor alerts the company of any unauthorised movement of the motorbike. The owner is contacted to confirm the theft and if validated, TRACKER activates the unit. Both systems transmit a VHF radio signal, allowing the motorbike to be tracked even when inside a moving van or lock-up/container unit. TRACKER’s technology pinpoints the position of the vehicle to within a couple of feet.

TRACKER’s recovery statistics speak for themselves. During 2005, the company teaming up with the police to trace and return more than £36 million worth of stolen vehicles to their rightful owners, taking the company’s total to more than 14,000 vehicles – worth a staggering £295 million – since 1993.

Parita Patel, Marketing Manager for TRACKER UK, said: ''If were to succeed in the war against motorbike theft, we recognised the need to make our systems more attractive, and what better way than to make them far more affordable.

''Far too many motorbikes are stolen and never seen again. But the simple truth is with a TRACKER unit fitted that does not have to be the case. Thanks to our relationship with the police and our tried and tested systems, the tide is turning in the war against vehicle theft.''
