SPEEDWAY 1 BERWICK will make a major announcement this Wednesday and finally reveal which level they will operate at in 2006. The Bandits are expected to confirm that they will once again be taking their place in the Premier League after a winter of uncertainty. However, Berwick promoter Peter Waite has again stressed that at this stage no rider has yet signed a 2006 Berwick Speedway contract. SPEEDWAY 2 SHEFFIELD will be the first visitors to newcomers Redcar in a Premier Trophy fixture at the South Tees Motorsport track on April 13. Construction work at the site is well on target for opening night, and the return match will take place at Owlerton the following evening, Good Friday. Tigers promoter Neil Machin said: ''I''m getting good reports about the new track and it''s an honour for us to open them.''
