WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS
16 January 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

MIKAEL Max has agreed a deal to spend the bulk of next season with Arena-Essex.

And the move means it will be the first time he has raced for any other British club after spending all his career with Wolverhampton.

Max is recovering from a broken thigh sustained last July and fellow Swede Andreas Jonsson will start the season at Purfleet until he is fully fit.

Arena-Essex boss Ronnie Russell said: ''There has been so much speculation over the last few weeks and I have decided to put an end to all the rumours.

''Mikael will be a superb acquisition for us and I am very pleased he has decided to accept our offer.

''He is a top class heat leader and I have no doubts he will get back to where he was before his injury.''
