LEE Dicken has been confirmed as Glasgow''s final signing for the new season - on what the Tigers consider to be a bargain average.

Dicken slots into the top five on a 3.31 figure after an injury-hit 2005 season which he completed with Newport.

Glasgow co-promoter Alan Dick said: ''I like the look of the side this season. The spearhead is powerful and the youngsters have a real chance to shine.''

COVENTRY and Belle Vue will start the new season by staging a repeat of their showdown for the 2005 Elite League crown.

The Bees and Aces will compete in home-and-away Challenge matches in the week before Coventry commence their title defence.

Coventry promoter Colin Pratt said: ''It''s appropriate that the League Champions face the Cup winners and I''m sure the fans will enjoy some great racing.''
