Perth motorcycle training school joins forces with BSM
John R Weir motorcycle training, based on Dunkeld Road in Perth has joined forces with BSM Rider Training, the powered two-wheeler training arm of driving expert BSM, as part of its innovative accredited partners’ scheme. John R Weir will continue to provide the highest level of rider training, and will now be able to give customers additional reassurance that training courses and centre facilities meet BSM’s strict accreditation standards. At a time when road safety initiatives are near the top of the Government agenda, driving daily headline news, it’s a timely move for John R Weir. 3.6 million people in Britain now hold a motorcycle licence and many more are keen to learn but might be deterred by the fear of having an accident. Professional training with the right company can allay this fear and give new riders the expertise and confidence to take the first steps with far less risk. “Motorcycling has grown in popularity in recent years and motorcycles and scooters are a cost effective alternative to the car. Riders can avoid congestion, big running costs and parking problems,” says John R Weir’s Simon Howlett. “But accidents do happen and it’s especially important that riders prepare themselves properly before facing the hazards of today’s crowded and dangerous roads. “We’ve been in the business of training riders of all ages for three years, and have built a reputation for service, quality and value for money. But it’s a tough market and lack of regulation means that almost anyone can set up as a trainer and undercut the professionals. Having BSM as a partner will give us a definite edge; being part of a self-regulating network of the best training schools in the country will set us apart from the rest and reassure our customers.” BSM inspects all its partners so that customers can be absolutely confident that bikes, instructors, equipment and facilities are of the highest order. So what do customers look for when choosing a motorcycle training school? BSM’s research shows that prospective riders want to feel confident that they are receiving the best quality training. They look for a good deal; prefer a course tailor-made to their individual requirements; want a simple booking and training process; and need a sympathetic and understanding attitude from their instructors. BSM accredited partners provide all this. They are regularly monitored to ensure their standards are the highest available, and you can be sure of fair prices. You can also take advantage of special deals on clothing, equipment and other services from BSM and RAC. You can find the nearest partner, advice and book courses by either ringing 0870 9021700 or calling in at any of BSM’s 109 high street centres. Partners will also be measured on their standards of customer service via a feedback system. Anyone wishing to book Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), Direct Access (DAS) or other courses should call the BSM call centre on 0870 9021700. It’s probably the safest move you will ever make.
