The opening round of the 2006 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross series saw CA and Red Bull KTM West Coast Lites class riders, Nathan Ramsey and Mike Alessi placed in the top 12.

The southern Californian track saw Mike Alessi compete in his first Supercross event and as the young Apple Valley resident and his teammate, Nathan Ramsey blasted off the start, they tangled with a large group of riders and went down. Each picked themselves up and later, misfortune struck again as the two riders went down in separate crashes. Alessi finished ninth and Ramsey was twelfth.
