EXETER are expected to make an announcement about the future of the club next week.
The Falcons have called a meeting of supporters at the RAOB Club, Buller Road, Exeter, on Wednesday August 11 at 8pm. Falcons team manager Tony Lethbridge said: “We have to quit the County Ground, our home for 75 years, at the end of this season. Our fans will be the first to know what’s happening.” SHEFFIELD boss Neil Machin believes the club’s long unbeaten home record is well and truly on the line on Sunday. The Tigers face Yorkshire rivals and runaway Premier League leaders Hull at Owlerton where they are undefeated since 1998 in league action. Machin said: “I’ve got no doubt that Hull will be feeling confident of taking our record. This is a massive meeting in the context of our season.” NEWCASTLE have been handed a double boost ahead of their home meeting with Rye House on Sunday. Kevin Little and Lee Dicken have both declared themselves fit to return to the side at the expense of Scott Smith and David Meldrum. Co-promoter Darryl Illingworth said: “This has been a season to forget for us so we hope we can now end it on a positive note.” FIXTURES) SATURDAY AUGUST 7: WORLD CUP FINAL: Great Britain v Denmark v Sweden v Poland (at Poole) 7.15 PREMIER LEAGUE: Berwick v Somerset 7pm, Stoke v Sheffield 7.30, Workington v Edinburgh 7pm CONFERENCE LEAGUE: Rye House v Mildenhall 7pm SUNDAY AUGUST 8: PREMIER LEAGUE: Newcastle v Rye House 5.30, Sheffield v Hull 6pm, Glasgow v Somerset 6pm, Newport v Reading 4pm CONFERENCE LEAGUE: Buxton v Swindon 3pm, Carmarthen v Armadale 3.15 CONFERENCE LEAGUE KNOCKOUT CUP: Mildenhall v King’s Lynn 4pm MONDAY AUGUST 9: SKYBET ELITE LEAGUE: Peterborough v Oxford 7.30.
