SPEEDWAY 1 POLISH rider Tomasz Piszcz has been confirmed as Workington''s third signing for the 2006 Premier League season. The former Peterborough and Coventry man made an instant impact at Derwent Park when he joined the Comets in the second half of last season. Manager Graham Drury said: ''In my view Tomasz was the best newcomer in the Premier League last year so I''m delighted he has agreed to return.'' SPEEDWAY 2 PETERBOROUGH owner Colin Horton expects to see his new-look team in the play-offs next year after a winter of investment. Horton has signed Hans Andersen, Ryan Sullivan and Niels-Kristian Iversen as Panthers assets and the club are strongly fancied for honours. Horton said: ''I believe we have assembled a team that can mount a title challenge and I would expect us to reach the play-offs at least.''
