STAR LEAVES ON LOAN
30 December 2005 - Wolverhampton Speedway
ADAM Skornicki has become the second Wolverhampton rider to join Oxford in a loan deal for next season. Skornicki, a big favourite with Monmore fans, quickly agreed a deal when it became apparent there was no room for him with his parent club. He joins former Wolves team mate David Howe in the new-look Sandy Lane side - and Howe has just been handed the captaincy. New Oxford boss Aaron Lanney said: ''Adam is as keen as mustard to do well in the Cheetahs colours. He has a great deal of experience at Elite League level and will do a more than good job for us. ''He is extremely quick around the smaller tracks which could prove to be a matchwinner for us during the coming year. ''Adam is an out and out entertainer and I''m sure will quickly become a huge favourite with the Oxford fans. He has decided not to race in Poland during 2006, preferring to base himself full time in this country which will be of great benefit to the Oxford club.''
