SPEEDWAY 1 SWINDON have confirmed the signing of Danish youngster Mads Korneliussen - in what will be a full transfer from Newport. Korneliussen moves up to the Elite League full-time after two years with the Wasps and a place in the Swindon squad last season. Robins promoter Alun Rossiter said: ''Mads will be a good asset for us, and he is a rider that skipper Leigh Adams wanted in the side.'' SPEEDWAY 2 SHEFFIELD have finalised their team plans for next season by recalling Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson and Paul Cooper from their 2005 line-up. In addition there is a place at reserve for Benji Compton, the younger brother of new Tigers skipper Andre. Andre Compton said: ''I''m excited by the team and I don''t see any reason why we cannot be up there challenging for honours.'' SPEEDWAY 3 JAMIE Smith has signed up for a third year with Somerset - and the 22-year old feels he can make significant progress next season. Smith''s 2005 campaign was hampered by racing on with five cracked ribs, but he has now regained full fitness. He said: ''I am pleased to be coming back to Somerset again next season, and I have set myself a target of achieving a seven point average.''
