SPEEDWAY 1 WORLD Champion Tony Rickardsson is returning to the Elite League to ride for Oxford. The Swede has agreed a deal with the Cheetahs which will see him compete for the first six weeks of the season before concentrating on his Grand Prix campaign. Oxford promoter Aaron Lanney said: ''Tony is the ultimate professional and to have him ride for me in my first season is something very special.'' SPEEDWAY 2 AMERICAN star Billy Hamill has completed his move to Wolverhampton in a loan deal with Midlands rivals Coventry. Hamill, a Monmore Green track specialist, will form a strong top three with Peter Karlsson and Fredrik Lindgren for the Black Country club. He said: ''I''ve always had great respect for Wolverhampton as a club and I''m very proud to be a part of it all.'' SPEEDWAY 3
POOLE have completed their team for next year by retaining club asset Greg Walasek in their middle order. Walasek returned to the Wimborne Road line-up late last season and impressed enough to be given a full season in 2006. Pirates co-promoter Matt Ford said: ''Greg is a seasoned competitor at all levels of racing and is respected as such by everyone in the Elite League.'' SPEEDWAY 4 SWINDON have signed Polish star Sebastian Ulamek on loan from Wolverhampton. Ulamek, a former Grand Prix rider, was part of Coventry''s title-winning squad in 2005 and Robins boss Alun Rossiter feels his 6.29 average represents a bargain. He said: ''This must rank as the signing of the winter. His experience counts for a lot and he will add strong top end support to Leigh Adams and Lee Richardson.''
