SPEEDWAY 2 PAUL Hurry has agreed a new deal to stay with Arena-Essex. The former Great Britain international insists he always wanted to stay at Purfleet despite holding talks with other clubs and he joins Henning Bager as a confirmed starter for next season. He said: ''Everything about Arena Essex is perfect for me, its local, always well prepared and a track I enjoy racing at. I''m pleased to stay.'' SPEEDWAY 3 GLENN Cunningham is the first confirmed signing for Somerset''s 2006 Premier League campaign. The former Premier League Riders'' Champion quickly agreed terms with co-promoter Pete Toogood. He said: ''The track is superb, the fans fantastic and whilst I had a great season last year riding at the Oak Tree Arena, I am looking to improve my away form in 2006 and see the team collect further honours.'' SPEEDWAY 4 SHANE Parker has taken a pay cut to stay with Glasgow. The inspirational Tigers skipper, who recently celebrated his testimonial in Australia, will be back in Scotland for a third successive season. He said: ''It''s no secret that the Promotion are making cuts and to that end we have agreed a deal that seems to keep everyone happy. I''ve loved every minute of my time with the club.'' SPEEDWAY 5 POOLE are set to unveil their sixth signing for next season at the club''s Christmas party on Wednesday night. The club have been looking form a solid middle order man to support the big guns in the team. Co-promoter Matt Ford said: ''We''ve got our man and I believe he will prove to be a surprise signing. All will be revealed at Poole Stadium on Wednesday night.'' Wolverhampton DAVID Howe has joined Oxford in a loan deal from Wolverhampton. Howe has been released by the Monmore club as they are in talks with 1996 world champion Billy Hamill. Howe said: ''I''ve got mixed emotions over all this, naturally I feel sad about leaving Wolverhampton but at the same time I have a new challenge ahead of me with Oxford. ''Aaron Lanney has impressed me with his ambition for Oxford and we will have a very solid team. I hope I can play my part by improving my average significantly.'' Wolverhampton promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''I still believe there is an awful lot left from David Howe. He is a rider who can explode and become a top Elite League star at any moment.''
