WOLVERHAMPTON STRIKE NEW DEAL
10 December 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON owner Chris Van Straaten has agreed a new deal with Freddie Lindgren and declared: ''He''s a world champion in the making!''

Van Straaten, who is also set to open talks with Californian Billy Hamill, is delighted to get his man after successful negotiations.

Lindgren was the club''s rider of the year last season and he has attracted interest from most other Elite League clubs.

Van Straaten said: ''This is a major step forward for our team building plans, everybody at the club will be delighted to have Freddie back on board.

''Everybody knows he was concerned about the fact that he struggled to cope with the shape of our track when he first came here, but he''s mastered that now.

''If ever I have seen a world champion in Wolves clothing, Freddie is just that. We are delighted to have him back on board and I know he is looking forward to linking up with Peter Karlsson at the top end of the team.''
