SPEEDWAY 1 PETERBOROUGH are the first Elite League club to complete their 2006 team plans with the signing of Dane Ulrich Ostergaard in a loan deal from Eastbourne. Ostergaard will partner Richard Hall at reserve for the ambitious Alwalton club who also signed Tomas Bajerski this week. Panthers owner Colin Horton said: ''What a fantastic signing. I have wanted him for over a month, now he is ours.'' SPEEDWAY 2 ASTON Villa football chairman Doug Ellis has thrown his weight behind the bid to revive speedway at Birmingham''s Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium. Ellis has written to Councillor David Roy, the chairman of the city council''s planning committee, who turned down the first application submitted in October. He said: ''I would urge the council to reconsider their decision, particularly in view of the overwhelming public support highlighted in the media.''
