SPEEDWAY 1 PETERBOROUGH have swooped to sign Niels Kristian Iversen to add more strength to their 2006 squad. Iversen joins Hans Andersen, Ryan Sullivan and Jesper B Jensen as a confirmed starter. Panthers team boss Trevor Swales said: ''I am obviously delighted to welcome Niels to the club as he is a young rider who has a lot of potential and I fully expect him to increase his average next season.'' SPEEDWAY 2 ADAM Shields has agreed a new deal to keep him at Eastbourne for next season - and possibly the year after. Shields will return to the UK in January from his Australian home to put pen to paper on the contract. Eagles boss Jon Cook said: ''Adam has the potential to improve and, like Nicki Pedersen, we are looking beyond 2006 as he has a big future.''
