HIEMER KTM RACING TEAM Although the official KTM factory team have already announced a withdrawal from the Supermoto World Championship, we are very happy to declare that Bernd Hiemer will race the 2006 series backed by ''orange''. The race team may have ceased activity but development of KTM Supermoto race bikes will continue. We are well known for our ''Ready to Race'' products and having already notched a year of work and experience, Bernd is held in high regard and has a lot of trust in the capabilities of our machinery. Through copious tests he recognises the potential of the equipment and is well aware that a decent rider, together with a good mechanic, is the right package required to fight for the title next season. The Supermoto work carried out by KTM R&D will involve constant dialogue and interaction with Bernd Hiemer even though he will run his own squad financed with his own sponsors and material provided by KTM Germany. We aim to keep the full racing experience close to the fans and the bike that Bernd will be steering next season will be available for purchase at local KTM dealers, ready for the track.
