WALKER AND WHITHAM ATTEND GUS SCOTT CHARITY AUCTION
27 November 2005 - Gus Scott Auction

A host of bike racing legends both past and present will be attending Club Amadeus in Northallerton this Sunday (27th November) as part of the Gus Scott Tribute Auction.

Originally, ex WSB Champion Neil Hodgson was down to attend but other committments have meant it''s not been possible so crowd favourite CHRIS WALKER as well as Yorkshire hero JAMES WHITHAM will be coming along to help raise an estimated £50,000 for Gus''s daughter and family.

Also in attendance will be his best mate, eight times TT winner JOHN McGUINNESS along with ex british Champion KARL HARRIS whilst Sky TV commentator and former GP racer NIALL MACKENZIE is also hoping to be present.

Throw in the fastest lady around the Isle of Man MARIA COSTELLO, BSB riders DEAN ELLISON, DENNIS HOBBS and GARETH GLYNN plus 125cc superstar DAN LINFOOT, the stars will truly be out in force on the night.

And the reason they are all coming? Simple, it''s for one of the biggest sales of motorcycling memorabilia ever to comes under the hammer in memory of Gus who was tragically killed at this year’s TT Races.

How about a lap in the BMW course-open car at the start of a MotoGP race? The driver? None other than 1982 World 500cc Champion Franco Uncini. And that particular lot also includes a pair of VIP paddock passes, for the GP of your choice, obviously.

If that seems a little tame you could bid for the pair of tickets for the 2006 Macau Grand Prix, courtesy of the Macau Tourist Board. This lot includes all air travel, transfers and accommodation to what is possibly the most exotic location for a race, anywhere in the world.

Don’t fancy long haul and noodles? No worries, there are VIP passes to every blue-chip race meeting be it MotoGP, World Superbike or British Superbike. Just take you pick and get bidding.

But if you want something longer lasting, something to treasure, there’s heaps of autographed gear from even the mighty Valentino Rossi himself. Neil Hodgson’s Ducati Austin leathers are up for grabs as are a set of ‘Nitro’ Nori Haga’s and for example, this could be the only chance in history you’ll ever get the opportunity to buy Jeremy McWilliams’ Aprilia RS3 Cube bodywork!

Listed below are the complete list of lots (to date) and doors open at 5pm for viewing and for further information please contact Sue Symons on 01904 339647.
