KURT CASELLI WINS FINAL ROUND OF 2005 WORCS
20 November 2005 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Three time, ISDE ''Top American'', Kurt Caselli ran away with the overall win.

The last round of the 2005 World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) was held this past weekend in Mesquite, NV and three time, ISDE ''Top American'', Kurt Caselli ran away with the overall win.

Coming off the line in a mid-pack start, Kurt had his work cut out for him as the young rider started picking off riders one by one on his KTM 450 XC. After an hours'' time, Caselli had muscled his way to the front and continued to hold off the rest of the pack. The dry and dusty course seemed to be ideal for Caselli''s riding style as it contained fast straight-aways and sandy whoops. He was on the gas and his lead was never contested as some of the other riders were battered and bruised from the Maxxis Endurocross the night before. Exhaustion was not a factor for Caselli.

Kurt closes out his best WORCS season ever with four wins in the 2005 series, earning him the vice championship. Caselli was a top finisher in the Endurocross the night before the Mesquite WORCS round and claimed one more ISDE gold medal and one more ''Top American'' title to add to his already extensive collection.

Caselli said, ''This has been a really good year for me; I stayed healthy and the team and I tried really hard to collect a championship in the WORCS series.that didn''t happen, but I am looking forward to next year! I cannot wait to contest the different events on the new XC line. KTM has it dialed when it comes to the new line of off-road bikes. Last but not least, I definitely want to thank the KTM Off-Road team for all the effort and dedication they''ve shown me. 2006 is going to be a great year and we''re all looking forward to the new season.''
