MELOTTE TO MAKE COMEBACK IN NAMUR
05 August 2004 - Yamaha Racing

Yamaha L&M Motocross Team rider Cédric Melotte will make his long awaited return from injury at his home circuit of Namur this weekend.

The GP of Wallonie, staged around the famous ‘Citadel’ of Namur, is an important race for the 25-year-old Belgian. He won the 650cc Grand Prix there last year but has missed the last two GPs after dislocating his hip in Neeroeteren six weeks ago. Cédric’s progress in the last couple of weeks have been a lot better than initially expected.

Melotte rode his practice bike before finally making the decision to race, commenting: ''I rode on the bike yesterday to see if my fitness was good enough for GP racing and all went well. I immediately decided to go for it and I’m very excited to return in front of my home crowd.”
