RED BULL KTM SUPERMOTO JUNIOR EURO CUP 5TH ROUND IN LATINA/ITALY
13 November 2005 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

The last venue of the Red Bull KTM Supermoto Junior Euro Cup took place in Latina, (located 50 kilometers south of Rome) Italy.

Overall Leader David Jackson had to start from the 12th position in race one because of breaking the reglement in Athens.

No bad circumstances for championship second, Chris Hodgson, who lay only 14 points behind Jackson.

Race 1
Riccardo Cavazzana did a perfect start. Like a rocket he claimed the lead, Hannes Maier and Chris Hodgson followed closely. Also with a perfect start, Jackson secured himself the fifth position, but felt down in the third lap and lost some positions. Meanwhile Hodgson took the lead and got some distance to the following riders.

Jackson crashed at the offroad part and lost three positions. But he could improve his speed and fought two positions back. He crossed the black-white-chequered flag as sixth. Still in front, Hodgson finished the race as winner, Cavazzana got position two, Maier in front of Heidecke got the third position.

Race 2
Again a perfect start for the Italian Cavazzana. In front of Jackson he took the first turn. Unfortunately Hodgson got involved in a start crash and lost many positions. Nearly at the end he started his race again. Aggressive and in a perfect condition he pushed his bike really hard and attacked rider by rider.

For Cavazzana everything went well, he was able to go his speed and nobody could distress him. Hodgson rode successfull to the fifth position, before he crashed at the offroad part. Finally he lost one position and finished sixth.

Emilio Comotti made a lot of pressure to Maier and overtook the Austrian in a very spectacular way, by braking very late and hard. Maier felt back to position six and finished three laps later fifth.

By four points difference, Jackson defended his RedBull helmet, the sign of the overall leader.

Cavazzana improved himself to the second overall, Hodgson finished third, eleven points behind the leader.
