GLASGOW have failed in a bid to move away from their current home with doubts about the future of the club growing.

There appears to be no future at Ashfield because of noise and financial reasons and a bid to move across the city has been blocked.

A club statement reads: ''If no solution can be found then it seems likely that we have staged our last speedway meeting in Glasgow.''

HULL legend Paul Thorp is prepared to sign for his biggest rivals Sheffield - if they want him.

The Tigers have just bought all Hull assets following the closure of the East Yorkshire club.

Thorp said: ''I suppose there''s a possibility, anything is possible. It''s a job and if Sheffield wanted me in their team I''d ride because I know I can ride Owlerton and so does everyone else.''
