MAGURA HARLEY DAVIDSON HYMEC KITS
07 November 2005 - Venhill Engineering Limited

Magura have developed a hydraulic clutch conversion for Harley-Davidson Sportster and Big Twin models that will reduce lever effort by 30% compared to standard cable operated items.

The German control specialists are already OEM suppliers to many top factories, including Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, KTM & Triumph and they developed their new after market Hymec kits for Harley-Davidson motorcycles in response to demand from American customers.

The system not only provides smooth and consistent operation, but also automatically adjusts itself for clutch plate wear, thanks to its hydraulic properties. Magura have taken great care to style the Hymec lever to fit in with the bike’s classic appearance.

Magura offer two options; the 57” Sportster kit is supplied ready assembled and pre-bled, so it can be fitted direct from the box. For owners wishing to customise their machines, the 80” Universal Kit has been designed so that the hose can be cut to length.

Both kits are supplied with step-by-step instructions and are fully compatible with the OE switchgear.

The Hymec for Harley kits are produced in both chrome and black satin finishes to fit Big Twin models from 1999 onwards and Sportster models from 1996 on. There are several options to choose from; the Sportster 57” sells for £229 inc. VAT in black (£327.60 in chrome). The 80” Big Twin version is £233.73 in black (£336.95 in chrome).
