SUZUKI STRENGTHENS SALES & MARKETING TEAM
02 November 2005 - Suzuki Racing

Suzuki GB PLC has strengthened its Motorcycle & ATV Division sales & marketing management team with the recent addition of Steve Callahan to the position of General Manager, Motorcycle and ATV Sales and Mark Wilson as Dealer Development Manager.

Forty-two-year-old Callahan is a life-long motorcycle enthusiast and self-confessed track-day and off-road enduro addict. He brings a wealth of business acumen to the team having been a Managing Director in the Japanese consumer electronics industry and latterly General Manager of one of the leading motorcycle security companies, Datatool.

During his three years at Datatool, Steve was instrumental in orchestrating a number of moves for the group and, most significantly, was responsible for relocating the entire UK manufacturing plant to the Far East.

Mark Wilson has the benefit of in-depth manufacturer and retail industry knowledge having worked as a sales zone manager and subsequently as a stores manager at dealership level. The 39-year-old then switched to the automotive industry becoming involved in European dealer development for Rover.

Under the direction of Nick Palmer, Sales & Marketing Director, these two new appointees join Marketing Manager, Becky Reid and Commercial Manager, Marianne Unsworth.

''We''ve got a great new-model line up for next year and a great management team that combines youth with experience, said Palmer. ''We now have the strength and confidence to forge ahead and implement an exciting range of sales and marketing programmes in 2006 to further support the future of motorcycling in the UK.''
