SHEFFIELD SPEEDWAY
03 August 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SHEFFIELD''S young guns pulled off a dramatic 47-46 win at the death against Conference Trophy big guns Mildenhall at Owlerton.

The Prowlers trailed throughout, but did enough to claw back an eight-point deficit at the mid-way mark to go into the final just three points behind. And when skipper Ben Wilson sped from the start, with partner Richard Hall battling past British Under 21 champion Ritchie Hawkins on the first lap, the 5-1 was enough to snatch the lead just when it mattered.

SHEFFIELD: R. Hall 16+1, B. Wilson 13, P. Cooper 9, L. Priest 5+1, D. Speight 2, K. Langley 2, G. Flint 0.
