KING''S Lynn hold the upper hand in the battle for the Premier League Knockout Cup after a 63-27 win in the first leg in Norfolk.

SPEEDWAY 1

Tomas Topinka was in breathtaking form for the home side with a 15-point maximum and Californian Brent Werner was the top Rye House man with 9.
Lynn boss Rob Lyon said: ''It''s a very satisfying scoreline but we also know how dangerous Rye House are at home.''

SPEEDWAY 2

SAM Ermolenko is expected to issue a statement within the next month to reveal his future plans.
The 1993 world champion, who spent this year at Peterborough, hinted in the summer that he may quit league racing.
He said: ''I''ve already talked to Wolverhampton about staging a celebration meeting there next March but all will become clear in my statement. Hopefully I''ll know where I stand very soon.''
