JEFF NORTHROP RETURNS TO AMA NATIONAL ARENACROSS SERIES
22 October 2005 - AMA Pro Racing

Series’ top returning placer (2nd in 2005/’06) joins Sellards on Thor/Honda/Tuf team

The AMA National Arenacross Series’ top returning racer from last season, Jeff Northrop, announced today that he will return to the Thor/Honda/Tuf racing team for the 2005/’06 AMA National Arenacross Series.

“Jeff played a very integral role on the Tuf Racing team last year and we’re looking forward with great anticipation as to what he can do on the Hondas this year,” said Thor/Honda/Tuf Racing’s Dave Antolak. “Jeff came to us as a top level 250 racer (now referred to as the AMA Arenacross class) and I think that, given the opportunity he has this year with the rule change to focus on just the Arenacross class (formerly the 250 class), that he’ll be a much more serious threat to win the title.”

Northrop, who lives in Concord, Calif., was teammates with defending AMA Arenacross Champion Darcy Lange. Lange has will race on to the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series, leaving Northrop as the top gun. He is, however, looking forward to racing with Brock Sellards – a teammate who brings a decade-long resume of professional motorcycle racing to the Thor/Honda/Tuf Racing team.

“I’m not expecting anything less than bringing a championship back to the Thor/Honda/Tuf Racing team,” said Northrop. “I’m the guy coming in who won the most main events last year and I think being able to focus on one bike will work in my favor this year.”

Northrop will run the No. 2 Honda CR250R.
