TEST RIDE A BMW AT THE INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE SHOW
25 October 2005 - BMW Motorrad GB
For the first time at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, BMW Motorrad UK is offering visitors the opportunity to test ride a selected number of its most popular machines, as part of the brand new ‘Bike Ride Out’ feature organised by the International Motorcycle Show.
Throughout the show, motorcyclists will be able to ride their preferred BMW Motorrad model from the selection available on the open roads around the NEC. Among the Motorcycles available for testing is the most powerful naked street bike in the world – the 163 hp K1200 R – as well as the revolutionary K1200 S superbike. 2005 has seen BMW Motorrad’s critically acclaimed R1200 RT sensation establish new benchmarks in the touring market thanks to its fantastic weather protection and aerodynamics. Enthusiasts will be able to try this model for size at the show, along with the UK motorcycle market’s top selling, over 1000cc bike – the R1200 GS. Riders wishing to participate in this year’s ‘Bike Ride Out’ feature must show their valid UK driving licence (for the photo card licence, both card and counterpart are required) to the feature organisers and also pass a breathalyser test. Bookings will be made on a first come, first serve basis and motorcycle clothing can be supplied. Visitors can also experience the BMW Motorrad range displayed on the BMW Motorrad stand throughout the show. If you are unable to make the show or would like a test ride on a BMW motorcycle in your area, test rides on the current model line-up are also available at all BMW Motorrad Dealerships nationwide. The BMW Motorrad stand is number T283, located in hall 18 at the NEC. Preview day is Friday 28 October and public days run from Saturday 29 October until Sunday 6 November.
