22 October 2005 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Red Bull KTM Supercross rider Jay Marmont sustained an injury while training at his home in Wollongong, Australia.

He was brought to the states last year to compete on the Red Bull KTM Supercross and Motocross team and is looking forward to competing in the East Supercross Lites class in early 2006.

Jay will now be resting and recouping at his home in Wollongong, Australia for at least four weeks before he can begin physiotherapy.

Larry Brooks, Red Bull KTM Supercross team manager said, ''Jay is a talented Supercross rider, and continued to make great progress last year, constantly pushing himself to do better. He''s a strong, young rider and we want to wish him the speediest of recoveries. We look forward to have him back with the team soon.''

Jay won the hearts of Australian Supercross fans in 2003 and 2004 by winning his the Australian Supercross Masters Championship back to back. He was then contracted by Red Bull KTM in 2005 to ride Supercross and motocross.
