Caselli wins WORCS race round 11

Kurt Caselli took his third win of the WORCS racing series in Goldendale, WA last weekend.

Cold and rainy weather on Saturday made for near perfect conditions on race day. Kurt Caselli jumped off the starting line of his powerful KTM 450 XC and was in the top three going into the first corner. The rest of the pack was snarling at Kurt''s back tire as the riders went up the first big hill of the six and a half mile course. Kurt made a pass for the lead after the first lap and held onto it. The second and third place riders were hot on his tail and both eventually made a pass, moving Caselli to third. All three riders were hungry for a win and began pulling away from the rest of the pack.

On the hour mark, Kurt made an early pit stop, gassed up and took off after the leaders. He was able to catch them and was riding at such a blisteringly fast speed, he put 20 seconds between himself and his next opponent, clinching the overall win and closing in on the series point leader.
