SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
02 October 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

EASTBOURNE star David Norris could make a shock return from injury in Monday''s Knockout Cup Final second leg at Belle Vue.

The Eagles take just a two point lead into the meeting after trailing for much of Saturday''s first leg, and could largely thank Nicki Pedersen (17) for their 46-44 win. Norris and co-promoter Jon Cook discussed the issue during the meeting, and a decision is expected by Sunday evening.

THE Young Shield quarter-final between Workington and King''s Lynn is evenly poised with the Comets taking an eight point lead into the second leg. Saturday''s match at Derwent Park saw Workington win 50-42 with the return set for the Norfolk Arena on Wednesday. Comets boss Graham Drury said: ''We know it''s going to be a tough one but we have the ability to go there and defend our lead.''
