SIMON Stead warmed up for Belle Vue''s Elite League title decider with Coventry on Monday by winning Carl Stonehewer''s testimonial meeting at Workington.
Stead beat Grand Prix star Leigh Adams in a run-off in front of a bumper Derwent Park crowd. Stonehewer said: ''I''d like to thank all the people who came to support me, it was pretty special. I''d also like to thank everyone who helped put the meeting together.'' AMBITIOUS Peterborough owner Colin Horton has revealed how his team is almost sorted for next season. Horton is determined to make a serious challenge for the Elite League title. He said: ''I''ve virtually got my team for next season sorted out.
