SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
24 September 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

COVENTRY owner Avtar Sandhu is cutting short a holiday to the Far East - so he can be at Belle Vue for the Elite League title decider on Monday.

Sandhu is hoping to see his side lift the title after taking a 54-41 first leg lead at Brandon. He said: ''I had promised my wife a holiday, but we are now coming back on Sunday. I just have to be there.''

PREMIER League champions Rye House have been hit by an injury to fans'' favourite Stuart Robson. The former Coventry man crashed during the 62-30 demolition of the Isle of Wight in their Young Shield quarter final tie. He has sustained a dislocated shoulder, which requires minor surgery, a broken finger and possible nerve damage. Rockets will book a guest replacement for the second leg on Tuesday.
