BILLY Hamill will make his first ever appearance at Berwick''s Shielfield Park when they stage the Bordernapolis on October 1.

The 1996 world champion raced at the old Berrington Lough track in 1991 during his Cradley Heath days before Berwick''s move. Bandits boss Peter Waite said: ''To have such a world superstar as Billy coming to Berwick for the event is very exciting for everyone in the town.''

BELLE VUE boss Ian Thomas is urging his riders to lift themselves for the home leg of the Elite League play-off with Coventry on Monday. The Aces are 54-31 down after the first leg when Jason Crump scored a staggering 21-points. Thomas said: ''The other five members can improve, if we can turn up Monday with six men flying, then we''ve a great chance of making up the deficit.''
