PETER Karlsson has passed a fitness test and will once again race for his parent club Wolverhampton in the Craven Shield at Swindon on Thursday.
Karlsson has been struggling with neck and shoulder pain but after a physio session in mid-week he called the club to confirm his availability to deputise for injured brother Mikael Max. Victory in Wiltshire would be a major step forward for the Monmore men in their bid to reach the semi-finals of the competition. Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''If we can pull off a win it will put pressure on Oxford for their visit to Swindon next week. ''All the boys will be keen to progress through to the semi-finals to try and salvage something from the season.'' SWINDON: Leigh Adams, Charlie Gjedde R/R, Peter Ljung, Jonas Davidsson, Lee Richardson, Mads Korneliussen, Ulrich Ostergaard. WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Magnus Karlsson, Steve Johnston, Freddie Lindgren, David Howe, Ronnie Correy, Krzysztof Pecyna.
