WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
18 September 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

PETER Karlsson makes a welcome return to Wolverhampton''s ranks for their important Craven Shield group trip to Oxford on Monday.

Karlsson, who has made almost 400 appearances for the Black Country club, is currently out on loan to Peterborough but his parent club will use him as a replacement for injured brother Mikael. After brushing aside Swindon in their opening group match last Monday, Wolves know an away win at Cowley will make them strong favourites to reach the semi-final stages of the competition - but it won''t be easy against a revamped Oxford side including new signing Freddie Eriksson. Wolverhampton boss Chris Van Straaten said: ''Peter was delighted when he got the call to ride for us and we''re sure he will do a good job in an important meeting.''

OXFORD: Greg Hancock, Henka Gustafsson, Freddie Eriksson, Billy Hamill, Niels Kristian Iversen, Travis McGowan, Chris Mills.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Magnus Karlsson, Steve Johnston, Fredrik Lindgren, David Howe, Ronnie Correy, Krzysztof Pecyna.
