WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
28 July 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON aim to give their play-off hopes a massive boost when they travel to Ipswich on Thursday (7.30).

The Monmore men are currenntly second in the Elite League table and they defend a narrow five-point lead from the first leg when the sides met at Monmore on Monday. ''That was a fantastic meeting,'' said promoter Chris Van Straaten. ''The standard of the racing was excellent and Chris Louis in particular was very impressive for them. ''Now we have to go there and put on a good show and hopefully add to our league points tally, but I admit it will be tough.'' Louis said: ''We''re happy with the fact that we''re only behind by five-points. Who knows, had Jesper B Jensen been fit, we may even have won at Monmore Green!'' Chris Neath returns to the Wolves side and they will once again operate the rider-replacement facility for the injured Daniel Nermark. Jensen, meanwhile, is rated 50/50 because of the rib injuries he sustained last week.
IPSWICH: Hans Andersen, Kim Jansson, Jesper B Jensen (if fit), Chris Louis, Scott Nicholls, Daniel King, Paul Pickering.
WOLVES: Mikael Max, Daniel Nermark R/R, Chris Neath, David Howe, Sam Ermolenko, Freddie Lindgren, Adam Skornicki.
