AJO MOTORSPORT ENJOYING ‘BEST-EVER’ SEASON
11 September 2005 - Moto GP

Although the Ajo Motorsport Team is competing in the 125cc World Championship with two rookies in Tomoyoshi Koyama and Alexis Masbou, the performances thus far have been satisfactory

Koyama has regularly finished in the top ten in the opening races of the season, while Masbou has scored points with his aggressive riding style - like his fifth place at Assen.

Ajo Motorsport are determined to keep developing and progressing and are optimistic with regard to the rest of the season. Team Manager, Aki Ajo, is delighted with the team’s performance and believes they are enjoying one of their best seasons ever.

`If we think about the season we can say it’s one of our best years. This is our fourth season in Grand Prix. In the first with Kallio we had some very good results, 2003 was not bad for us because we won one race but, if I look from an overall perspective, the way our riders and team are working, I feel that this is one of our best seasons´.

`At the beginning I didn’t expect such good results´, Ajo conceded. `Before the season started I thought we could have a good year.

I definitely believed that Koyama could be very good because I have known him for a long time, and at the moment things are going well. If everything keeps working well I think a podium is possible for us, but I’m already very happy with this top five results we have now´.
