WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
05 September 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WONDERFUL William Lawson swept aside his rivals to win the British Under 18 Championship title at Wolverhampton.

The Edinburgh rider scored a faultless 15-point maximum to finish just a point ahead of superb Weymouth rider Lewis Bridger. The vital race came as early as heat 6 when Lawson just got the edge on Bridger in what proved to be the title decider. Telford youngster Jack Hargreaves, who rides for Conference League Stoke, showed his liking for the Monmore Green track by gaining the bronze medal with 12-points. Hargreaves had a brief spell with Wolves when they entered the Conference with their Cubs side in 2003.
